JA- PCM PROJECT (EU4Health)
Joint Action on Personalised Cancer Medicine (JA PCM, EU4Health)
Short summary of the project
The Joint Action on Personalised Cancer Medicine (JA PCM) aims to strengthen collaboration and build a sustainable cross-border network for personalised cancer medicine across Europe. The project brings together European countries and key stakeholders to support the wider implementation of personalised approaches throughout the entire cancer care pathway, from prevention and early detection to diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
JA PCM addresses existing inequalities in access to personalised cancer medicine by promoting the uptake of innovative diagnostics, data sharing, and evidence-based interventions. The project includes a set of pilot activities and transversal actions focusing on areas such as molecular diagnostics, liquid biopsy, clinical decision-making, and digital solutions, while also supporting education, training, and knowledge exchange among healthcare professionals.
The ultimate goal of the project is to improve equitable access to personalised cancer medicine and to establish a sustainable European framework that integrates research, healthcare systems, and innovation for better patient outcomes.
