Transplant Unit and Hematological Intensive Care Unit

Two inpatient departments of maximum care

We have a total of 13 rooms (11 single bed and 2 double bed ) in the Transplant Unit and the Hematological Intensive Care Unit.

Patients are attended by a highly qualified and experienced team   which is a member of the International Bone Marrow Transplant Registry (IBMTR)  since 1991 and the Europeran Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) since 1994. As a matter of fact, the very first transplant, initiating bone marrow transplant program in Czechoslovakia.  was performed in the IHBT in 1986. Until the end of the year 2015 our physicians performed as many as 1171, predominantly alogeneic transplants. (You will find more detailed information about the procedure itself here).
