Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis
The IHBT outpatient clinic also includes the Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of blood clotting disorders. An important activity of the center is the care of adult patients with congenital deficiency of coagulation factors. That is, patients with hemophilia A and B and von Willebrand disease.
The facility at IHBT is one of two major centers for the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases in the Czech Republic. More than half of all patients in the Czech Republic with hemophilia A/B and so-called FVIII/FIX inhibitor are monitored and treated here.
IHBT provides continuous 24-hour care as a Comprehensive Care Center for patients with hemophilia.
