Postgraduate education for physicians
ÚHKT as an accredited workplace of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic for postgraduate education enables internships in the field of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine for specialties where hematology is part of pre-attestation education before completion of the basic stem, and as an accredited workplace of a higher level of specialized internship for specialties where the field of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is part of specialized education before the specialization exam in the field. Teaching is conducted by supervisors in specialized clinical departments (transplant unit, inpatient hematology department, outpatient clinic), in the complement of laboratories in specialized laboratories/departments (cytogenetics, flow cytometry, molecular genetics, morphology and cytochemistry, coagulation, immunohematology), and in the transfusion section (separation of blood elements). Internships are carried out on the basis of three-party agreements between ÚHKT, the sending organization and the trainee, or two-party agreements, if the trainee is not sent by any organization that finances the internship.
