Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis
The ÚHKT outpatient clinic also includes the Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of blood clotting disorders. An important activity of the center is the care of adult patients with congenital coagulation factor deficiency. That is, patients with hemophilia A and B and von Willebrand disease.
The ÚHKT facility is one of two main centers for the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases in the Czech Republic. More than half of all hemophilia A/B patients in the Czech Republic and those with so-called FVIII/FIX inhibitor are monitored and treated here.
ÚHKT provides, as a Center for comprehensive care of patients with hemophilia, continuous care 24 hours a day.
