Intensive care unit

We provide comprehensive intensive care to patients in ÚHKT already under treatment, in whom complications have developed (especially after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantations and after anti-cancer therapy); we admit patients for diagnosis and therapy in severe clinical condition caused by confirmed or highly probable hematological disease (especially acute leukemia, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, aplastic anemia, etc.); we planfully apply therapy in cases of high risk of complications or when it comes to administration of experimental treatment requiring observation and monitoring.
In collaboration with the apheresis department, we perform plasmapheresis or leukodepletion during hospitalization.

Bed capacity: max. 10; max. 2 ventilated beds, max. 2x CRRT.
