Internships in IHBT

The Education Department provides internships for external applicants at all levels of education (secondary and university students, doctoral candidates, healthcare professionals and doctors preparing for specialized training, interested parties from abroad).

Procedure for internship applicants:

1. The applicant agrees on the date with the department head where they wish to complete the internship. In the case of internships in multiple departments (within the framework of specialized training for university doctors or other professionals), the date is arranged with the education officer.)

2. If the applicant is self-paying, they are required to conclude for the duration of the internship liability insurance for damages from the performance of their profession and send the confirmation / concluded contract to the education department.

3. The applicant sends the completed Application for Internship at IHBT to the Deputy Head of the Education Department & in copy to the Education Department secretariat (dana.mikulenkova@uhkt.cz and marta.bendova@uhkt.cz) no later than four weeks before the start of the internship. For any questions, call 221 977 206.

Note regarding the application: The statutory representative is usually the director of the healthcare facility, in a joint-stock company the member(s) of the board of directors and in a limited liability company the manager. However, it can also be a person authorized to perform this task. If the contract is signed by an authorized person, your employer must attach authorization of this person to the contract. The applicant is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the facts stated in the application.

4. The education officer will contact the head/manager of the relevant department/section (or their representative) where the internship will be conducted and verify that the internship is possible in the requested period in the given department/section.

5. Based on the internship application, the education officer will prepare the contract and send it by email to the applicant.

6. The applicant checks the contract, adds their personal data and sends it back by email to the education department for printing. The signed contract is sent by IHBT to the applicant, who ensures its signature, stamping, pays for the internship and sends 1 original back to the education department.

7. On the day the internship begins the applicant arrives at 8.00 a.m. at the education department (building B, 4th floor, room number 427 C), where they present proof of payment of the internship fee (a copy of the bank statement), if applicable, confirmation of concluding a liability insurance contract for damages from the performance of their profession.

Furthermore, they will receive introductory information, will be informed in writing of the principles of general occupational health and safety, fire protection and personal data protection, will receive keys to the locker room, an internship schedule form (= class register), where all trainers will confirm the number of hours of their teaching, and a name badge, which they are required to wear throughout the internship in a visible place. After the internship is completed, they will return the name badge, keys and class register to the education department.
