Internships in IHBT
The Education Department provides internships for external applicants at all levels of education (high school and university students, doctoral candidates, healthcare professionals and doctors preparing for specialist education, interested applicants from abroad).
Procedure for internship applicants:
1. The applicant agrees on a date with the head of the department where they wish to carry out the internship. In case of internships in multiple departments (as part of specialist education for university doctors or other professionals), the date is arranged with the education referent.)
2. If the applicant is self-funded, they are obliged to conclude for the duration of the internship liability insurance for damages from the practice of the profession and send confirmation / the concluded contract to the education department.
3. The applicant sends a completed Request for internship approval in IHBT to the deputy head of the Education Department & copies the secretariat of the Education Department (dana.mikulenkova@uhkt.cz and marta.bendova@uhkt.cz) and at least four weeks before the start of the internship. For any questions, call 221 977 206.
Note regarding the request: The statutory representative is usually the director of the healthcare facility, in a joint stock company it is member(s) of the board and in a limited liability company it is the manager. However, it can also be a person authorized for this task. If the contract is signed by an authorized person, your employer must attach authorization of this person to the contract. The applicant is responsible for the correctness and completeness of the facts stated in the request.
4. The education referent contacts the head/manager of the relevant department/section (or their substitute) where the internship will be carried out and verifies whether the internship in the requested date is possible in that department/section.
5. Based on the internship request, the education referent prepares a contract and sends it by email to the applicant.
6. The applicant reviews the contract, completes their personal information and sends it back by email to the education department for printing. The signed contract is sent by IHBT to the applicant, who ensures its signing, stamping, pays for the internship and sends 1 original back to the education department.
7. On the day the internship begins the applicant arrives at 8:00 AM at the education department (building B, 4th floor, door number 427 C), where they present proof of payment of the internship fee (a copy of the bank statement), or possibly confirmation of conclusion of liability insurance for damages from the practice of the profession.
Furthermore, they will receive introductory information here, will be informed in writing of the general occupational safety and health and fire safety principles and data protection, will receive locker room keys, an internship schedule form (= class register), where all instructors confirm the hours of their instruction, and a name badge, which they are obliged to wear visibly throughout the internship. After the internship ends, they return the name badge, keys and class register to the education department.
