How to proceed...
How to proceed if I want to obtain a sample from the UHKT Prague Biobank?
-
Contact us directly OR search for a sample of your interest in the BBMRI Directory catalog (https://directory.bbmri-eric.eu/#/). The Directory is a catalog with collections of biobanks from the entire BBMRI-ERIC consortium. Once you select a collection, submit a sample request using the Negotiator tool (https://negotiator.bbmri-eric.eu/login.xhtml). A detailed procedure for working with the Directory and Negotiator tools can be found on the website https://www.bbmri.cz/cs/qa/otazky-a-odpovedi.
-
Once you agree with the biobank on sample availability, complete the Request for Release of Biological Material (download). Here you will describe your project, the type and quantity of samples required, and the type of data required. It is important that your project has approval from an ethics committee.
-
Your request will be further submitted to the Expert Council of the UHKT Prague Biobank.
-
After approval of the release, an agreement will be made on the process of sample and supplementary data transfer, and if you are not from UHKT, a sample transfer agreement will be signed.
How to proceed if I want to store samples for my own project in the UHKT Prague Biobank?
-
Complete the Request for Preservation of Biological Material (download).
-
Your request will be further submitted to the Expert Council of the UHKT Prague Biobank.
-
For each sample, we will require documentation of informed consent for the preservation of biological material and for the use of samples for the project.
-
For each sample, we will need a completed Request for Processing and Preservation of Biological Material for a Research Project (or other type of project) (download).
-
We will then agree on the procedure for collection, processing and storage of samples and compensation of costs associated with this service.
For further information, see the director's directive: RECEIPT AND RELEASE OF SAMPLES FROM THE UHKT PRAGUE BIOBANK.
