Laboratories

Hematology is undergoing constant development. A sign of a professional approach is an immediate response to new trends and published scientific findings. Complement of ÚHKT laboratories follows this approach. Our goal is to provide the best services in the best possible quality. We aim to ensure full satisfaction of our clients and the benefit of patients. We strive for quality, comprehensiveness and accessibility of laboratory services.

The Complement of ÚHKT laboratories is formed by individual laboratories belonging to the clinical department, transfusion department and the department for science and research. Their heads manage and are responsible for processes related to the performance of laboratory tests and their clinical interpretations. The head of the Complement of ÚHKT laboratories is, in cooperation with them, responsible for the management of the quality management system and its maintenance and development through the quality manager of CL.

The level of implementation and adherence to established procedures and standard requirements is very high. This applies both to the quality management system area and to the professional activities of top and often unique CL laboratories. This is ensured by the high professional competence of individuals at all levels of CL activities, knowledge of quality management system principles and their application in practice.

Adherence to established procedures and standard requirements is verified by a system of internal audits conducted by very experienced auditors. Identified non-conformities and established corrective measures are addressed through a very robust system of non-conformity management and corrective measures. Within CL, a functional system of continuous improvement is established.

Control, interpretation and release of test results are performed by qualified, competent staff. The quality of test results is regularly verified by validations/verifications of procedures, equipment service provision, proper metrological traceability, internal quality control system for tests, environmental parameter monitoring, etc. External control of results is ensured by regular participation in EQA.

The Complement of laboratories continuously defends independent and impartial assessment of professional competence according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 15189, whose application is verified by the Czech Institute for Accreditation. Examination methods within the scope of accreditation are defined by the appendix to the Accreditation Certificate in the current version, which is available on the website of ÚHKT. The first accreditation was granted in 2009.
