Ambulance and day care center

The outpatient department provides hematological care to a wide spectrum of patients – from new patients, through patients in long-term outpatient follow-up, patients undergoing intensive hematological treatment including patients after hematopoietic cell transplantation (bone marrow) to patients hospitalized in other facilities referred on a consultative basis for specialist examination.

We perform diagnosis and care for patients with a wide range of hematological and hematologic-oncological diagnoses including very rare blood-forming disorders.

Within the IHBT campus, we are located on the ground floor of building B. You will find a total of 11 clinics here, of which 4 specialize in care for patients after transplantation, another 2 clinics operate within the Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis (details here). We also have a shared blood collection room, a procedure room (where we perform invasive examinations such as bone marrow puncture and biopsy, lumbar puncture, etc.) and a day hospital used for intravenous drug administration, transfusions, chemotherapy, etc.

List of clinics and contacts

Booking a new patient:

By phone: 221 977 315 – acute cases - call anytime, others please call after 12 o'clock

We prefer booking by the patient's treating/general practitioner, who is requesting hematological examination.

Individual bookings at IHBT are handled directly by the physician, so please review and have in hand before calling the request for hematological examination and report from the referring physician with laboratory results (i.e., documents issued to you by your physician for booking hematology). The clinic physician will ask about the reason for the hematological examination (always indicated on the request form) and according to current laboratory values will determine the examination date.

Upon arrival at the clinic, take a ticket with a number at the entrance (select the "blood collection" option). After your number is called, you will first complete administration at the reception desk (prepare your insurance card and identification document) and then you will be called for blood collection with the same number. You can shorten the waiting time for examination by writing down your current medications (including dosages) and personal medical history (i.e., all diseases and operations you have had in the past and are currently being treated for). By doing this, you not only make our work much easier, but also significantly shorten the overall examination time. Nevertheless, please reserve at least 4 hours for the initial examination.
