Education

The Education Section provides professional training for UHKT employees and participates in organizing internships for external applicants at all levels of education, including students of secondary healthcare schools, medical students, doctoral candidates, and healthcare professionals preparing for specialist training. 

UHKT has approved educational programs from the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic in the fields of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (for physicians) and in the field of Clinical Hematology and Transfusion Service for specialized laboratory workers (OPLM) and for medical laboratory technicians. In these fields, it is included as a teaching facility of the Sub-department of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at IPVZ with higher-level accreditation. The head of the Sub-department of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is Prof. MUDr. Jaroslav Čermák, CSc., who is also the guarantor for postgraduate training of physicians in the field of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at Charles University First Faculty of Medicine. The Sub-department participates in education in hematology and transfusion medicine also in other medical and non-medical fields where hematology is part of the educational program. It also has an accredited educational program for general nurses in the field of Nursing Care in Oncology and Hematooncology.
