Education

The Education Department provides professional training for IHBT employees and participates in organizing internships for external applicants at all levels of education, including students of secondary medical schools, medical students, doctoral students, and healthcare professionals preparing for specialist training. 

IHBT has approved educational programs from the MZ ČR for the fields of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (for doctors) and in the field of Clinical Hematology and Transfusion Service for specialized professionals in laboratory methods (OPLM) and for medical laboratory technicians. In these fields, it is listed as a teaching facility of the Subunit of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine IPVZ with higher-level accreditation. The head of the Subunit of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is Prof. MUDr. Jaroslav Čermák, CSc., who is also the guarantor for postgraduate training of doctors in the field of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. The Subunit also participates in education in hematology and transfusion medicine in other medical and non-medical fields where hematology is part of the educational program. Furthermore, it has an accredited educational program for general nurses in the field of Nursing Care in Oncology and Hematooncology.
