The UHKT deals with the diagnosis and treatment of serious hematopoietic diseases, in particular acute and chronic leukemias, myelodysplastic syndrome, blood coagulation and platelet disorders and certain types of anemia. The main focus is on performing bone marrow and peripheral stem cell transplantation and treatment with cell therapy products.
A strong background of routine and research laboratories enables us to perform diagnostics corresponding to world standards, specialized examinations also serve patients from other hematological departments. In our research, we focus mainly on hematological tumors and the development of therapeutic anti-tumor vaccines, monitoring of gene and protein expression in oncohematological diseases, the study of tumor markers and the study of hemostasis and thrombosis.
