Ambulance and day care facility

Within the UHKT outpatient clinics, we provide comprehensive care (diagnostic + therapeutic) not only for individual patients, but also perform consulting and super-consulting activities. We consult patients from various healthcare facilities without direct access to a hematologist (consulting), and as one of the centers of highly specialized hematooncological care we consult patients in the care of other facilities (super-consulting) - see consultation and patient referral.

The UHKT outpatient section consists of a total of 13 clinics (2 clinics fall directly under the Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis UHKT), separate blood collection rooms, a procedure room and a day hospital.

BLOOD COLLECTION ROOM
  • operating from 07:00 – 11:45 hrs; contact: 221 977 468
    • provides blood draws for scheduled outpatient patients (does not function as a public blood collection facility)
PROCEDURE ROOM
  • operating from 08:00 – 14:00; contact: 221 977 482
    • equipped with 4 recliners for patients undergoing lumbar punctures or trephine biopsy under analgosedation
    • individual procedures are always indicated by a UHKT physician; in case of interest in patient examination at UHKT, prior arrangement with the consulting physician is required (see patient consultation)
    • procedures under analgosedation take place every Wednesday from 11:30 hrs; the patient arrives for the procedure at eight o'clock in the morning, may have a light snack before 7 o'clock (roll, yogurt) and should not eat or drink thereafter. After the procedure approximately 1 hour of observation in the room and discharge after 13:00 hrs, an escort home is always required.
DAY HOSPITAL
  • operating on weekdays 07 – 18 hrs, weekends and holidays 09 – 12:45 hrs; contact 221 977 480 or 221 977 479
    • equipped with 11 beds and 3 closed boxes for patients requiring isolation
    • enables administration of intravenous medications, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, application of blood derivatives etc.
