Institute of Clinical and Experimental Hematology, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and ÚHKT
ÚKEH was established in 2003 as a joint pedagogical and research workplace of ÚHKT and the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. It brings together teaching staff from the clinical, research and transfusiological departments of ÚHKT. It is headed by a director appointed by the director of ÚHKT and the dean of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University.
ÚKEH together with the 1st Internal Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and VFN provides hematology teaching in the 5th year of medical studies, participates in teaching pre-state internships in the 6th year, and offers optional courses focused on blood malignancies and transfusiology. We enable students with scientific ambitions to work in specialized laboratories and to conduct diploma theses. ÚKEH staff strive for a pedagogically innovative approach combining cutting-edge science, quality practical teaching and competency-oriented approach across undergraduate, postgraduate and specialist education.
