Institute of Clinical and Experimental Hematology, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and IHBT
ICEH was established in 2003 as a joint pedagogical and research workplace of IHBT and the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. It brings together pedagogical staff from the clinical, research and transfusiological departments of IHBT. It is headed by a head appointed by the director of IHBT and the dean of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University.
ICEH, together with the 1st Department of Internal Medicine, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and VFN, provides teaching of hematology in the 5th year of medical studies, participates in teaching of pre-state internships in the 6th year, and offers optional subjects focused on hematologic malignancies and transfusiology. For students with scientific ambitions, we provide the opportunity to work in specialized laboratories and to supervise diploma theses. ICEH staff strive for a pedagogically innovative approach that combines cutting-edge science, quality practical teaching and a competence-oriented approach across undergraduate, postgraduate and specialist education.
