International Nurses Day

Today, May 12, is International Nurses Day. 

 

And at ÚHKT it's a good opportunity to remind ourselves of something we often take for granted in everyday operations — that without nurses, healthcare simply wouldn't work.

 

Not only because of their expertise, experience, and confidence in situations where every second counts. But above all because nurses are the ones who are closest to the patients. 

Every day. 

Through demanding treatment, through uncertainty, fatigue, good news, and the hard moments too.

 

Work at ÚHKT is no easy discipline, either. Hematology, intensive care, transplant programs, and long-term patient care all demand tremendous professionalism, precision, mental resilience, and the ability to function as a team. 

And it's precisely our nurses who are an absolutely essential part of it.

 

Thank you 🙏 to all the nurses and nursing staff at ÚHKT for the work you do every day — often quietly, without grand gestures, but with an enormous impact on patients and their loved ones.

We value your energy, your humanity, your humor, and your ability to handle situations that aren't visible on the surface but are all the more important for it.
