The main activity of the Department has been focused on various diagnostics tests in the field of hematology, based on analyses of the human gene structure and function. The Department serves as a center for information exchange within the network of Czech laboratories and communicates with laboratories abroad. It organizes and registers external quality control and arranges annual meeting National Conference of DNA Diagnostics.
